I have enjoyed amateur radio for 42 years, albeit with times off for other endeavors, importantly, family and work. It seems i would go in 5 year cycles of having a station, and then not. Building things has been a passion since putting wheels on an ironing board, building a raft, a tree house, the soap box derby, and so on. Most of my life, including my career in the marine industry, has been spent building things for other people. Well, the hell with that, at 56, I'm going to build things just for me and my friends. Wrong. Well, I do spend more time on my projects, the child is on his own (partially), my wife is busy and happy (!), the shop is well tooled. So, here are some projects from the last few years, and there are more to come.
